Leopard Creek is a luxurious home owned by Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Wayne Huizenga and Lyle Andersen. A typical African home with African décor, the home has six beautiful bedrooms all with bathrooms en suite. The front of the house faces the Kruger National Park and the only thing that separates us all from the wildest of animals in Africa is the Crocodile River, which has an abundance of crocodiles and hippopotamus! We often experience large herds of elephants, cape buffalo, water buck and kudu who arrive at the river to quench their thirsts. We have also seen lion, cheetah and all of the Big Five from our scenic deck.
Leopard Creek golf course is the number one rated Gary Player designed golf course in South Africa. Our private home has two four seat Club Cars for our golfing pleasure at any time. After an early morning game drive and a phenomenal South African breakfast by our caterer, Louise DeLuca, we head straight to the first tee for what promises to be a very enjoyable round of golf. Sightings of leopard, giraffe and other wild animals are often part of the four hour experience while playing golf.
For those who are not golfers, Leopard Creek has a wonderful recreational facility with pool, tennis, water slides and of course great game viewing options. Or simply staying at home lying out on the deck, reading a great book with typical African baboons echoing in the distance is experience enough! We all can’t wait for one of Louise’s phenomenal salads out on the deck or around the home pool.
There are all sorts of great activities at Leopard Creek, including game walks with a private Ranger, sundowners at sunset followed by a night game ride in Land Rovers with flash lights, - my personal favorite!
We experience one great evening meal after another. Occasionally we eat at the Club Boma with larger groups while experiencing African dancing by a local Swaziland team of dancers. Leopard Creek is simply a sensational, unique and very exclusive way to start what promises to be a trip of a lifetime!
